Song "Forsaken" by "Skillet" from album "Collide".

Lyrics:
v1:
I recall going madly in love with you
And I remember this
How could I forget?

Regret is a needle in my neck
It's slowly filling me with poison
Spreading to my chest

Take my pain and numb me from this

Chorus:
Why do i have to beg when all that's left
Is a memory forsaken [2x]

v2:
I recall pledging my sole devotion to you
It reminds me how now i'm on my knees
my guilt consumes,
lost the will in me
wasting away before you
hold me closer please

take my pain and numb me from this

Why do i have to beg
when all thats left
is a memory forsaken [2x]

Bridge:
Forsake
You break me
Forsake
You break me
Your breaking me

I recall going madly inlove with you
And I remember this

Tell me why do I have to beg
When all thats left
Is a memory forsaken [2x]

Tell me why
Why [3x]

  • I LOVE SKILLET!! I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST

  • @Alysaccam I'm confused. Who's ever been ashamed to admit that they're christian? It's the most widely accepted religion in the world.

  • @casse93 if you knew about the bible, you would know that jesus came to cancel or end all these laws of the old testament. he came to save by faith also and not by following the law. the law is to show us how we can not get away from sin. and as i said the rules in the old testament or unvalid now.

  • @fredfigglehornweasly he says just that before they play awake and alive! :D

  • O.O wait. . . did I hear a touch of auto tune at the beginning....?

  • wait.....are they belivers or what.....???

  • @casse93 adultery, incest, lying, pride, murder, lust are still sins and are not outdated . As for a spanking on the butt. A parent knows the difference between abuse and discipline. And it is not beat the child with a rod . Learn the verse ! Proverbs 13:24 “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him."

Not surprising you don't understand the bible .

  • @casse93 In Deuteronomy 24:1-4 Moses said a person can divorce and remarry. But the divorce law was re-interpreted by Jesus, just as he redefined the law of murder. In Matthew, chapters 5 and 19, Jesus says that the man who divorces a woman and takes another, makes the first woman commit adultery. The Jews concerned themselves with what Moses and their traditions said, Jesus superseded that approach to God with his own instruction. He became the standard of truth (John 1:17).

  • @casse93 No christain will tell you that Jesus condoned sin and that there are not consequences for them. You don't speak for christians because you are not one . If we look at the context of the verse in which Jesus spoke of fulfilling the Law, , we will note that Jesus was redefining the teaching from the Law and the Prophets. He was pointing out which principles from the Holy Scriptures had an eternal validity and their intended purpose, and how both were to be understood.

  • @aianime07 continuation

Most Christians imagine that Jesus did away with all this barbarism and delivered a doctrine of pure love and toleration. He didn’t. (See Matthew 5:18–19, Luke 16:17, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 20–21, John 7:19.) Anyone who believes that Jesus only taught the Golden Rule and love of one’s neighbor should go back and read the New Testament.

  • @aianime07 There exist outdated morals in the new testament too, don't be ridiculous. Of course, God’s counsel to parents is refreshingly straightforward: whenever children get out of line, we should beat them with a rod (Proverbs 13:24, 20:30, and 23:13–14).

If they are shameless enough to talk back to us, we should kill them (Exodus 21:15, Leviticus 20:9, Deuteronomy 21:18–21, Mark 7:9–13, and Matthew 15:4–7).
