@askadetra so? music evolves XD producers like Armin, N2O, Arty, Mat Zo etc... are all unique. Each of them use sounds which are different, but still create the same feeling. Trance isn't just about how it sounds, the whole point of trance is to create the feeling of euphoria =) Would you rather listen to the same sounds, the same layout over and over? or something new, inspirering and different? I know which one I'd choose =D (Dont take this as a hate comment btw, =) Just expessing opinions)

djs like tiesto and armin spoil the trance music. these sounds must not be used for trance tracks. it's not a matter of whether you use new and unique sounds to make a trance track. it's a matter of whether you use sounds that are typical for trance. trance has principles and typical elements like any other electronic genre. these sounds here are typical for detroit techno and tech house. the bass line is typical for techno and the lead sound is typical for tech house.

@FinlandApollo dude but it's true, Mr Van Buuren mentions fabfilter etc, to promote it only, of course. The programmer of fabfilter is Dutch also. They don't really use vsts dude, believe me.
