I remember I was a huge LA Guns, G-N-R, Poison fan, then Metallica came along and this older friend of mine, not an original bone in his body, convinced me that this shit wasn't "cool" anymore. I was like 13 or 14. Nothing against Metallica - they're gods in their own right - but really glad I grew up.
