This short tutorial explains how to create an outline of an existing form by spline and extrude it with appropriate modifier to an editable poly. Finaly we are going to assig certain material from "Multi/Sub-Object Mtl" to selected polygon.

  • Convert your line to editable spline and apply the extrude-modifier to it (adjust the extrude modifiers' params also). Afterwords you can conver all together to editable poly or mesh.

  • how do i make an extruded spline into a solid shape?

  • Extrude-modifier params: Cap Start and Cap End will help you to build the upper and lower surfaces.

  • Hello. I am wondering if you know why when I try to add an outline to a closed spline, the amount I set it to never stays permanently. As soon as I let go of the mouse, the amount always reverts back to zero.

  • How can i change discrete amount of vertixes in spline when i convert it to poly?
