spectacular spiderman 1x12 Intervention part_ 3

Peter Parker finally gains enough self-awareness to realize the alien Symbiote hasn't simply bonded with his Spider-Man costume, it's taken over his life. And after abandoning his friends and almost punching Eddie Brock he chooses to escape it's darkness that is costuming him. But when Peter tries to remove it, the Symbiote fights back, creating a battleground in Peter's own mind and memories from his past. Peter eventually defeats the symbiote but it later bonds with Eddie Brock to form Venom.

@ydoubother What you say is true, but , to me anyway, that doesn't explain why Eddie, a guy who hasn't become obsessed by the symbiote before opening the door, just suddenly thinks it's a good idea to open a door to a container with some creepy looking goop inside. I don't know about you, but if I saw that thing do a shape of my hand, I'd be pretty creeped out and walk away.

@Mickwhitefire28 I like to think of it as a possessive relationship. The Symbiotes has clearly shown deep attachments to their host; Parker and Brock with Venom come to mind, and the Symbiote has also clearly shown that it doesn't want to share their host. In this show's case, take Peter's influence to push his friends away, and again when the symbiote tried to say they didn't need friends or family, and only needed each other. There are more examples but I won't list them.
