9 Beech trees over moat, appriximately 90-100ft, needed weight reduced one side. The angle of the speedline was hindered due to the electical wires on the far bank.

  • hi doug,

the rope is an 11mm static abseiling rope....pretty sure its marlow from memory, although i purchased it a long time ago and the speedling kit rarely comes out, maybe once a year. tensioned it with a tracked chipper. Slings could have been shorter i suppose, but the real issue was the powerline on the other side of the bank which limited where we could have the speedline.

The trees were heavily weighted one side and the owner was concerned about them falling on the power lines.
