Viral throat infection show off.

UPDATE: This is not strep, After getting the results back from the lab, it is confirmed that this is NOT strep throat.
My luck.. =( Its a nasty viral infection Its been 4 days and I feel like a vampire. Only went out once to give paper work to my job. The monster in my throat is still the same size and thankfully my fever is still down under 100. I want to thank my Family and beautiful girlfriend that has stuck with me through all this. =)

OLD NEWS: Strep throat sucks first of all, for the last 3 days I have been in bed sleeping and shaking from a fever of 103. After Motrin every 4 hours I am also taking Azithromycin tablets to help with all. Some cervical neck pain also came along with the dizziness. After looking in the mirror I was shocked to see this thing in my throat.. Be warned now.. its not pretty! errrr time for more sleep.

thanx alot for the response, i think i might be dealing with the Epstien barr virus, can last 1-2 months, im not suffering from any huge white chunks, fever or any pain, just a slight discomfort in my throat, doc said to ride it out, so here i am riding it out, the white spots are on thr back of my throat not my tonsils and they dont come off, i have a neck ultra sound wednesday then im going to see my doc again about the spots if they havent gone away yet. thanx again

how long did it take b 4 the virus went away? i dont have white chunks like that but i do have white spots on the very back of my throat, i have no throat pain, doctor said its most likely a viral infection, ive had the symptoms for a month now, took amoxicillian incase it was bacterial b 4 i found out it could be viral and NO change, im dying here its driving me nuts! one month ive never ever been sick this long in my life

Virus went away about 5 to 6 days after noticing my tonsil the way it was.All in all, 7 days until I was almost normal again and able to work. Worst 7 days of my lifeThe doc at outpatient gave me the "Z-pack" a 1 a day pill for 5 days. It helped but not fast. I spoke with another doc recently 2 weeks ago and he said it should of been removed. =/ Good luck. My body is back on track and my tonsil is back to normal. Ask doc if you might have Mono, anemia, strep throat, or crap even check for swine.

i had trouble with my tonsils when i was younger and my throat looked just like that on both sides, the infection was going down my throat and making me hallucinate it was that bad, get rid of ur tonsils dude its so much better

I cant get rid of my tonsils yet. To much school and I cant miss 1 day. Hopefully after graduation I will get em removed.

You lose weight rapidly when you get these kind of infections. I had strep a few years back and I probably dropped 10 pounds in 3 or 4 days simply for the fact of how painful it is to eat and drinking anything acidic like apple juice or orange juice is like swallowing fire

looking through his mouth and pausing video......looks like a big bump with white saliva covering the infection.......he should immediately go to specialist check that out....looks serious....better get it done before gets more worst......

it could just be a flatuos blethm basically a wound to the throat by hard food gets infected by other foods ect. then becomes a "viral infection" as some call it.
