There may be no official soundtrack, but clearly the one to play with it is the one that was chosen as you say for "home viewing". This one's horrendously chosen. It's purely European. The one chosen for home viewing was a brilliant mix of Confederate and Union tunes. They mixed them together and they even changed from confederate to union when they crossed the lines that way if I remember, and then vice versa when going back.
