Dwarf Fortress Time Lapse Part 2

I added music this time around (just felt empty otherwise) I think the last one turned out a bit better because there was a lot more going on, but I love how the bedroom mining turned out in this one. I'll probably make this a commune fort, with (almost)every labor enabled on every dwarf because I suck at dwarf management.

Sorry I haven't continued the series, I've been somewhat busy with real life and never really got a chance to sit down and play df2010 much. Now that things have stabilized a bit I have a few ideas up my sleeve for some new stuff. Probably something similar to the time lapse, except with a more of a narrative. Think a single player succession fort type thing. I've got to get competent with the new version first though.

did you leave a lot of the fortress open to the outside? I didnt see you put in a front door, and some of the other Z levels seem to be open platforms?

Most of the fort is indoors. Instead of a door, I use that drawbridge over the chasm. Once you go over that, you are inside the *real* fort.

cool. although i admit i still dont have the z-level shifts visualized that well. did you cover the river? and you channeled a big area - was that to let rain in so you could farm? then you covered?

hmm, in retrospect I'm not sure why I covered that area back up after channeling it out. The area I was covering up was actually a chasm. I plan on having other bridges across it on other zlevels and I don't want bad "caught in the rain" thoughts.

@sirfinkus Oh definitely, I really could NEVER get a grasp of this game, even though I want to, It's awesome to see someone basically sitting down and time-lapsing a creation I KNOW took HOURS over HOURS for Our enjoyment, I'd be glad to watch timelapses of this game all day if I could. People make some cool shit in this game =p
