@averagejoe132 What he tried to say is that a smaller diameter rim & tire will demand less torque to light them up. Wider rims & tires makes it possible to drift at higher speeds, as you'll still remain in control and not wash out.

For really high speed drifts, a wing would be added to create more grip at higher speeds...

that dosnt make sense to me if the rims are wider there would be more rubber to road so more grip wouldnt u want less grip in the rear for drifting? also they dont look particularly wide just small

Back when mk2's where made there were fitted wit these rims Easier to Diff And dirft cause there have a wider area on the road cause they are smaller height wise and wider.
