Wow, what a great season for Daniel Ramos, III. while playing for James Coble Junior High in Mansfield, TX. Most coaches in MISD consider this 8th grade team to be the best team to ever come out of Mansfield. Daniel played running back, middle linebacker, kicker ( kickoffs and field goals), and punter. This is Daniel's third year playing running back and linebacker. He is getting better every year. He dedicated all his off-season to getting better, lifting weights, and attending sports camps. This year was a short year for him. In most games, they would lead by 30 or more points by half. As politics would have it, Daniel was only allowed to play about a half of each game. Daniel averaged over 20 yards a carry and led his team in tackles playing in roughly a half of each game. This highlight video is a compilation of highlights from offense and defensive plays. He had many more but we thought this would give you an idea of how this season went for him. Last year, Daniel was selected as Valedictorian of his 7th grade class and is on pace to repeat for the second time as James Coble's top student. In 2008, Daniel was Valedictorian of his 6th grade class. Daniel gives all credit to God for his athletic and academic achievement. He is a devout Christian. Daniel plans on going to TCU and double major in business/religion.

  • 285 bench at age 13? i'm pretty sure that'd be a world record. these are all way too unbelievable.

  • @Quartomarinaraa23 - These totals for time and lifting were all done at 5-star performance camps. Daniel is exceptionally strong for his age. These totals and lifts can be verified by his attendance at camps and his local junior high coach. Truly, these totals are far from being world records. There are kids his age that can lift equal amount of weight. Most kids do not lift weights anymore. When someone does dedicate themselves to weight training, he is often at the top of his class.

  • @Quartomarinaraa23 - To clarify, Daniel was 14 when he benched 285. In fact, this year his totals will be posted at his local high school. He is on their power lifting team. I will post videos of him lifting during competition as soon as the season starts. It will be available for everyone to see. The best way to prove his totals is to have videos. He loves lifting weights and he is looking forward to breaking records for his high school.

  • I'm not buyin the 4.7 40

  • @thyroste000 -Daniel was timed at two independent places. First, he was timed by oldcoach.com by Aveion Cason during this past summer camp at 4.74. Also, his head coachat school timed him for track at 4.78. The people who need to buy in already have his times in the 40, shuttle, bench press and other tests. All of these tests and times were given by those who can verify the information. Nothing more needs to be said.

  • good job!!

  • @Quartomarinaraa23 - If you look at some videos on youtube, there are many kids his age that can bench at or beyond what Daniel can bench. The first time Daniel benched was when he was in the 5th grade. He benched 135 lbs. At that time, I knew he was gifted in strength. Daniel is in high school this year. He is on their power lifting team. We are looking forward to competing this year. He is,far and away, the strongest freshman in district at 198 lbs.

  • @drj1967

you're right it's not a world record, i apologize. I beleive the world record for a 13 year old at around 198 lbs is 310 lbs. Was that his first time at the bench press?

P.S. He could be a powerlifter as well if he worked at it, that's crazy impressive.

  • Marcel Dancy #23 from California best running back period. And looks alot smoother doing it

  • i think about 4.9 or 5.1

  • BOOKS AND TALENT THATS WHATS UP
