  • I've never been happy with the clutch on this bike from day one and have adjusted it a few times. It is about 3/4 throttle and the bike had plenty of rpms left to redline. The speedometer is way off. On the highway if it says 75 you're probably doing like 67.

  • I have over 6,000 miles on the bike and it runs great. I didn't baby it breaking it in but I didn't beat it either.

  • It is in miles per hour. It would accelerate faster if you wanted to go full throttle. I went about 3/4 throttle. I don't want to ruin a bike that's only 6 months old.

  • The Versys, like many bikes has an inaccurate speedo. I've checked mine on my Zumo and my 9500xi's gps, it's about 5-7mph off depending on speed. That was really about 93-95 mph, still impressive though.

  • @heartlesspinto 100mph = 160 kph :) googled

  • @heartlesspinto 100mph = 160 kmh :) googled

  • Yah the clutch is same way obviously on the 650R I fiddle with it all the time LOL :)

  • I think this was in mph. That would've been way too slow for kph. 100 mph is more like 150 kph or something i think. I could google the conversion, but i don't feel like it.

  • no offense, but you really were going closer to 1/2 throttle.

the jump from 20~lmph- 80/90/100 kph is SO fast on these twins, they have a ton of midrange.

after 110~ kph they slow up more than a 4-banger bike, but the midrange is awesome :)

  • ofc mph, it reaches 100km/h in 4,9s.

  • mph or kph?

  • The clutch is *extremely* touchy on the Versys, that's for sure.

  • Guys, speedo's are always off set by the manufacturer on purpose by 7%. e.g. 100kph is really 93kph. This is partially because they dont want to be sued for your speeding. Also, if people put on bigger wheels the bike will cover more ground on the same revolutions. Digital speedos can be adjusted however or larger front sprockets can be installed to make the reading more accurate.
