Using six guitars, I'm a testing a Mesa Boogie Mark I amplifier (head/speaker) with a DigiTech GNX4 guitar workstation. These are the guitars I play on this video:

• ESP MII with original Floyd Rose and EMG 81 pickups

• Carvin V220 with original Floyd Rose and Carvin C22 pickups

• B.C. Rich Wartribe Warlock with Kahler Hybrid tremolo and EMG 81 & 85 pickups

• LTD JH-600 with EMG 81 & 85 pickups and Kahler 2300 tremolo (upgrade)

• Jackson King V KV2 with original Floyd Rose and Seymour Duncan pickups (JB TB-4 bridge / JB SH-4 neck)

• Ibanez Roadstar with Edge tremolo and Ibanez pickups

I use D'addario and Ernie Ball strings on my guitars.

  • That amps overdrive is much better than that pedalboards, its like breeding a mutt with a pedigree. watch your own video it sounds horrible i have a mark III and a Mark V i know what i am talking about,

  • when i was a kid i thought mesa and boogie were two different companies and mesa made the heads and boogie made the speaker

  • I have a dual rec roadster absolutely in love with I can play everything from aerosmith to zz top

  • I know its like this guys got a rig that cost as much as a humvee and dude is talking shit

  • i like the digitech personally but i will admit it sounds like its in studio direct mode

  • not to bad i would recommend going threw the the pedals system target and running it in like input 2x12 it will give you more presence and sound very amp like other than that man you got a mean tone

  • For what it's worth, I don't know if this guy puts much thought into the amps that he uses. Not to bash or anything, but he's pretty much experienced or knows enough about anything that has to do with the instrumental part or a guitar rig. Plus the guitars he has are of top quality. But when it comes to the tonal aspect, it's sort of weak. Tone is in the beholder, and it's completely opinionated, but he can certainly afford the top of the line amps, I think he just refrains from it.

  • So you took a Mark 1(!!!) and a Digitech (wtf!) to play metal (LOL). Also why not buy a Mclaren engine and put it in a coffee machine? Good playing dude but seriously....WTF!

  • Are you running on half or full power?

  • Are you running on 50 or 100 watts?
