I think that girls get so sensitive about their hair because we grew up hearing stories about princesses with beautiful long hair , and they found a prince charming . Like, rapunzel literally used her hair to get her prince , and it's very upsetting to have that taken away . Most children directly associate long hair with beauty, so it's still engraved into our heads as we grow up , and it's hard to have that taken away . I completely understand why Madeline was so upset :(

@arimaroma It's not that they don't want to do it, it's the attachment to their hair. I've had my hair short all my life and I've finally grew it out. I really want to cut it off, but I also don't because I grew attached.
