@analphabetik Astroganga was the first in its genre (Robot ridden by a human).The only anime to present a robot and the pilot as real friends..........Totally disagree with you.

I like the concept of a robot that was totally non-sentient and sometimes got hijacked by villains in Tetsujin 28 ; it was a good example of how science can be used either for good or evil.
