ForageSF hosted its first underground market in a private residence in the Mission district last Thursday. The event provided an affordable space for newly minted entrepreneurs to reach San Francisco foodies.

This was the first event for all of the vendors present, including Shakirah Simley, the owner of SlowJams. A typical space costs anywhere from $300 to $500, Simley said. "That's a lot of jam."
