Yep, still in Fresno with the in-laws :)

Went in the garage to try and start the RD400 for the first time. This may not seem much to others, but to me, I've never ridden a dirt bike. This concept was new for me and it was quite tricky to put all my weight on the starter. All 115 lbs of me. As my father-in-law had explained, the rider has to put all the weight on the starter, push fast and follow through. I was really excited when I heard her purr finally :)

  • nice job! You guys should have showed her how to come down with your body weight on the kicker, makes it much easier to start when you're 95 lbs.

  • @smellymonkeybutt They did explain it to me yet hard as i tried, there was moment i was just standing on the starter. Wouldn't even budge down. I had to brace myself just shove my weight down and push the starter down.

  • NICE WORK!!! I have been kick starting bikes since the age of 7 so I know how hard/tiring/frustrating this can be. A few tips: 1. Eat a two Double Double's and one Animal style fry from In&Out before starting, or 2. A backpack full of bricks? 3. Put a boot on your right foot, it helps and protects. That RD is pure moto PORN!!!! I got goosebumps at 0:08, at 1:26 I was breathing heavy! Such a sexy machine, and well taken care of... And I'm spent...... :)

  • @ear4audio HAHAHA I really needed this. Thanks for being you and making me laugh (still at work and having a rough 2 days...) Oh man I seriously have tears out of my eyes. You're awesome. Nuff said.haha double double...

  • Lucky it was the easy starting RD instead of the 750 Kawasaki triple that will take your ankle off!!

  • I didn't know you were 115lbs! lol feather-weight! haha..it would have helped tons if that bike has a center stand...i was cringing when you began trying to kick-start lol

  • Good job! :-) I've ridden both the RD-350 and RD-400, and loved them. The 400 had expansion chambers, and some mods to the engine. Boy, that thing had some serious torque and speed! With many bikes these days having elec. start, I'd guess some people have never had to kick-start their bike; even, some dirt bikes have elec. start, interestingly enough. Also, cool DH ride in/around Bass Lake. I never knew they had those trails! My Stumpjumper FSR's looking for some good DH runs! :-)

  • You lil yogi yogi

  • Nice job! Much easier if you are 175 pounds. Yah, gotta give you props for the curtsey at the end you aren't a total tomboy. ;)

  • so cute!
