This question came up in the SFM discussion group, How do I move Static Map Props in SFM. Well there isn't an easy way, either decompile the map, remove the unwanted items and recompile the map and pray it works, or Right click on the View port and select Draw Game Entities then click World Static Props off, you're still left with the task of adding the SFM models for the items removed and trying to place them in spot where the originals were. The up side is no decompile and recompile, the downside is that if an item was a light source, you have to compensate for it. Which is more beneficial? probably the decompile and recompile method. That way the map is available for the next time you need it... (If you saved it as a separate filename that is...)
