In this small and picturesque port, formerly anchored galleys and bratseres
the Republic of Venice, who revealed the Lepanto (Nafpaktos) as one of the
largest and most powerful foundations of dominance in the Mediterranean. In the western breakwater in 1971, was placed as donation of the Reserve Officers Association of Lepanto, the statue of congressman
George Anemogiannis - Paxinou, who in his attempt to
set fire to the Turkish corvette in 1821 was arrested by the Turks and
killed by staking at the harbor entrance. The image of the harbor filled with the square, which is an area like after the release. As is currently, the final form is from 1972-73
