I'm Hawaiian and personally I have nothing against white people. Hawaii is like anywhere else in the world, in which case those who are outsiders are often treated that way, until they eventually fit in. That is pretty obvious if you think about all the people in this video. Most of the "locals" in this kid's video are probably his friends, after all how many people who honestly want to beat you up, are going to help you make a film for a film festival?

Whites (and Hawaiian blood) living in Hawaii think that if you mistreat tourists, it makes you a local. They also think it's okay to steal from outsiders like they are owed something.

@imabadking Well, there's that. It also could be because of the area you live in. As well as how you act. :)

I dont get it, I never faced racism in Hawaii. Lived there for 14 years, and was born there. Perhaps its because I was born there and the people I knew had grown up with me around.

@Rachulie. Yes. Imperialism does make enemies out of everyone. Its a very scary art that is profected to this present day in Hawaii under U.S control. I'm wonder if the vast majority of Hawaii's population knows that the Hawaiian Kingdom was multi-ethnic--declared by the King Himself. And that everyone lived in peace. Especially towards one another.

@UniteHawaii never heard of the massie affair. im from the south so maybe it's racist to white ppl who arent used to being around any other color, like in wisconsin it's all white. where i live it's 40% black 60% white.
and plus im half arab so every color hates on arabs, so not shocked when i see racism, like some ppl seem to be.
imperialism makes enemies out of everyone :P
You want to fit in to anywhere in the world? Step one: Bring some booze from your country, share it with stories over a campfire, or relaxing night somewhere.
