I remember good old brian. I was 12 at the time he retired. I missed hearing the news with my family. We all love you Brian

If you had to hear the News, whether Good or Bad, You had to hear it from Brian Henderson.Television News Reporting has never been the same since "Hendo" retired.
It would be amazing if he would come back for say just 1 week on National 9 News for a special appearance. Ratings would be so High.

After Brian left, Jim Waley didn't last too much longer and got shafted by Channel 9. Nowadays the Channel 9 new team can't hold a candle to the Henderson years

You don't happen to have his Toasted and Roasted Special by any chance do you?

Brian was born in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. I was born and live in the same town.
Brian is awesome!!! i love watching him in old clips of Bandstand

Good
I enjoyed hearing the calm paced voice of Brian Henderson every night. Its a pity Ch 9 doesn't have any quality news readers anymore.

I remember this bulletin as well. It was so strange to think that my whole short life Brian had told me the news and had been a role model, not only with his presentation and his manner of speaking but with that unwavering integrity of his. He is without doubt my number one inspiration for wanting to study journalism and now that I'm about to graduate, whether he knows it or not, I feel compelled to say thank you to him. That's most certainly 'the way it is'.
