I can't believe how oblivious the horses they vault off of are! it's amazing! they really seem to like it. or at least understand it. :)

@vaultingdiva horse score is worth 20% of the overall score. I think some of the most complained-about horse scores at this WEG were actually pretty fair. Don't get me wrong I love draft horses and I think that they make awsome vaulting horses. But by vaulting on a draft in an international competition you are choosing to throw your horse score in favor of higher dificulty and performance. That being said I think there were a few horses who were clearly misbheabing who should have been deducted.

@vaultingdiva I agree about Andreani: three words: layout full twist. and thats just the dismount.

I definataly think Mary should have medled. (again a little biased because she is my other favroite) She did have the highest freestlye score so perhaps if she focus on her comps she will be the next World Champion.

and I think from a technical persepctive you are 100% right. But everyone wants to see their favotites win lol

@Sanchara she remains a beautiful vaulter and a vital part of US vaulting but she didn't show what she was capable of. In this video there isn't a hint of nerves and in my opinion I saw a lot of nerves this past year. (again, rightfully so)

@Sanchara In no way shape or form did Megan deserve to win this year. Nothing against her, but I saw every single performance from warm up to last dismount. She wasn't up to even this performance (many reasons, one being injury) and the sport has progressed so far since this. She did very well considering what happened and should be happy with her placing, but she got what was right. However, I believe Mary deserved 3rd and Andreani deserved first. (latter is a little biased) :)

@VezzosoVaulter Horse scores are always very tricky to deal with, one on hand it is a horse sport thus requiring a score, but sometimes can feel a little unfair. Megan had been practicing on this horse for a long time and he is indeed hers. :) Megan is great, especially at this time in her life, and I haven't seen most of the other performances but it does pose an important question; to what extent should a horse be responsible for the outcome? I don't agree with some 2010 WEG placings either :(
