I disagree completely and so do the experts. McCain enjoyed a post-convention bounce that every nominee enjoys. Also, Palin was a mystery. As time went on her favorable ratings went down. She was popular with conservative and religious McCain supporters but few others. Check the data. Show me evidence that Palin's popularity grew with independents over time. I think you'll find that it did not. She rallied the base but did little else. Show me articles that say independents approve of Palin.
completely inaccurate. after mccain picked palin his lead not only stay steady he was gaining. mccain did'nt lose the lead until the economic meltdown. any other analysis is completely revisionist.
Yes, when Palin was announced as McCain's vp pick and no one in the country knew a thing about her, McCain did take a temporary lead in the polls. Then, as the days and weeks went on and the American people learned more and more about Sarah Palin they clearly disapproved of her. It wasn't just the economy, that hurt McCain it was Palin's utter lack of knowledge, substance, experience, etc. Plus her pandering to an angry mob didn't look very good to the rest of us either. I hope she runs.
In the spirit of Christmas..I'll just end this conversation with Merry Christmas..I hope your New Year is blessed with health, wealth and lots of Joy...
