Call up your local library and they might have it. You can go there and just download it for free. I downloaded all of spanish for free.

A fair review. I find Pimsleur very fun though. I'm learning 6 languages at the moment. Pimsleur allows a VERY strong foundation very easily while still challenging me. Not a full vocabulary, but enough to get by. also I don't obey the 1 per day rule. I've taken 2 to 3 Russian lessons on a daily basis. My personal review: To get the most natural foundation to learn a language, use Pimsleur while dabbling in reading/writing. To advance after, then expand on other programs.

That 10 days thing it's just a marketing strategy. Pimsleur developed this program like 30 years ago. Your critiques are not fear to the real program which has, in some cases, 3 leves of 30 days each. Plus, is based on linguistics theory that, for instance, LingQ contradicts: sounds, speaking first, then reading.

@LearningFrenchNow Now I use a rather simple method. I read and listed in large qualtities and study a little grammar. Then there's output of course, which is just a matter of doing it. There's no secret method there. More = better, in that regard.
Love it. Steve you're the best. That's the exact same thing I was thinking as I was watching that Pimsleur ad... which I didn't even end up watching till the end it was so hard to bear. Also, all of your tips are very helpful, and I'm glad some people are willing to offer sincere tips without always having to stick a price tag on them.

I think lingq is the ultimate language learning tool ever if it provided enought more feeds . Unfortunately for Swedish that I'm learning now there's no enought material and I'm finished with all the audios ..

@love8lover5 You will have to search out your own content to import. I do this for Czech. You can find newspapers, some e-books online, as well as radio stations and podcasters. Often I will just import content for reading since the audio is not available.

@GriffenJC Now I just use LingQ. that is what I did for Czech and I use whatever content I can find on the web, once I am past the beginner lessons that our members have created in LingQ.
