@trelokamenos Actually it isn't. Go and listen to the interview that Red Ice Radio did with some guy (I forget his name) about Stanley Kubrick. He goes into the Lord of the Rings connection ner the end. It's available on here.

I wonder if a ring system could sort of be considered a belt systen like the astroid belt? I know the astroid belt is too far away from the sun to be seeing as a ring around the sun though.

This video was amazing! It combined two of my biggest nerd loves: astronomy and lord of the rings. I never imagined such a ring was possible. I learn so much from these videos especially as much of what you cover I have never seen published in any astronomy book I own. Keep up the amazing work, it's certainly appreciated
