yeah, you can "appreciate" how fast some dude can move his hands back and forth, but the real talent and skill comes in when you try to put rhythm to it and make people nod their head, or even dance.

i dont understand how people can diss this. rafik's style should be a prime example of real turntablism. whats great about his style is the consistancy of rhythm, and head-nod ish in combination with supurb fader and record skills. no where in his sets does he lose rhythm. alot of djs ive noticed lose complete interest in rhythm and being able to jam, and just focus on how fast they can beat juggle and cut on the fader. taht shit gets so repetative and boring.

this shit rocks the fuck out of any of the more recent stupid as sounding repetitive beatjuggling garbage ive been hearing the last couple years
-
does anybody know how the track ist called starting at 2:36 ? This sound is totally ass kicking!
-
hella gnarly as fuck!

Dayyum! Germanys weapon of mass destruction!
I can see how some people dont like rafiks Style (or really the newer style of battle dj'ing)
But this is where the Evolution of Turntablism has gone to. I like it, shits hella tight.
I love and can tell the difference between the 90's era of battling as well. But to diss rafik? If you dont like it than thats kool. I dont like Ballet, but can appreciate the skill and devotion though.
