He didnt die, he was in the hospital for 1 day and recovered for 4 days but he didnt play the rest of that season but he did eventually play again

I remember watching this live, the sound the crowd makes when he is cut is chilling.

you can see him start collapsing as he gets onto the bench, thank god he got up right away if he stayed down on the ice he probably would have died

@Sammy8446 yeah i was there. happened on my side. we won but it was the most quiet end to a game i have ever been to. and the 15 mins after this before the game resumed, it was so quiet that literally almost all you could here were the zambonis cleaning the ice
