Not exactly. Not being a hipster is reason enough to feel better about oneself. Hipsters are far from creative. They're all about the appearance of being creative as to impress others of their ilk. I live in an area infested with these clowns. In fact, "the appearance of" is what these people are all about. All (for lack of a better word) style, zero substance. They literally redefine the term "trying too hard". When I was growing up, we called these people POSERS.
