So, using your iphone, watching a video on any website, you sometimes get the home sharing option. Click it, and it will play the video on your apple tv. Can you do that with your computer? Instead of having to download a video to your computer, and import it to itunes. So pretty much, is there a way to watch videos from your computers internet, without having to download it? If you can only do that with an iphone, well that's not cool. If you can help me, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

@SmashItMJL Remote only works when you are connected to the same network as the computer that you are connecting to with it.

@36teejay No. Once you turn off WiFi, you will only be able to access music that is stored on the phone.

Sorry but how does this work for Videos ? Because I tried exactly the same thing though it doesn't seem to work . I've also read up online but nothing really explains how it works . Not too sure what to press to transfer videos over .

@HoundKid It does not work with videos. The video you saw in the demo was a podcast. If you have a video podcast, it will play the video. However, it will not share TV shows or movies.

@ConverseNikki iPhone must be on WiFi (not data) but the computer just has to be on the same network as the WiFi network. So if your computer is wired into your wireless router, it should work. The computer being on WiFi should also work.
