Virgin Mobile $35 Monthly Plan With Samsung Intercept Android Phone Review

I have the $35 a month Virgin Mobile cell phone plan, with the Samsung Intercept Android phone. The plan was originally $25 a month, and that's what I'm paying, but anyone who subscribes for new service has to pay $35 a month. I get 300 minutes of talk, unlimited text, and unlimited internet use. If I go over 300 minutes, additional minutes are 10 cents each. In the video I compare the Samsung Intercept to the iPhone. The phone came with Android 2.1 installed. The Samsung Intercept phone works OK for phoning and texting, but sometimes the contacts function crashes when I am trying to enter a new number. The screen resolution is lower than other phones, so it is hard to read small print, which makes web browsing somewhat frustrating. Apps take a long time to open. The touch screen sensitivity is pretty bad, and I have trouble getting things done because either I tap the thing I didn't mean to tap, or it doesn't sense the tap. Switching between menus is slow. Virgin has another Android phone available on the $25 monthly plan. I don't know if it is better. After upgrading to Android 2.2 it works a lot better. I made a different video after the upgrade.

so if i have the $25 plan can i switch to this phone and still only pay $25?

VM said that I have to pay $10 extra, but I figure if i switch the phones manually they wont catch the switch.

@acmav289 I don't know. I would think that if you just switch the SIM card to a new phone without telling them, you'd still be paying $25 a month.

dont ever compare a iphone with samsung we all know iphone is better.....and the samsung is not slow you just have to many apps downloaded on it i love my samsung intercept its not slow at all and the touch screen works fast...
