One week before the attack on Pearl Harbor, a US Navy listening post on the other side of Oahu intercepted Admiral Yamamoto's message to the AJapanese fleet to sail to Hawaii. Today, the remains of that radio station can still be seen.

But on the post "Saddaam's nooks" age, we know the government and media lie to us about some very important things. The burden of proof is on them now. We no longer need to prove the government it lying, they must prove they tell the truth.
The only thing I can add is from my own personal observation - that intelligence pumps out 100s if not thousands of reports. Some are right, some are wrong, some are ignored, some are acted on. It's easy to look back in history and point to the damning piece of action of a government that failed to act on a particular report just as it is easy to point to the faults of a government that acted on failed intelligence.
They call me a cospiracy theorist because I said 9/11 was an inside job. History just repeated itself. FDR sacrificed 2,000 americans for WW2. Bush sacrificed 3,000 plus for his war on terror
That's why the Aircraft carriers were 200 mi south of Hawaii on 7 Dec 41. The Japs only succeeded in sinking old relics. But sadly, innocent soldiers & sailors paid the price for being the sacrificial lambs.
This is not some wacko conspiracy theory; it's a historical fact that the Japanese were deliberately goaded into attacking U.S. forces and that their plans were known to the president and his inner circle. As WRhappened mentions above, Robert Stinnet, in his book "Day of Deceit: The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor", documents these facts very thoroughly.

"I have believed that our best entrance into the war would be by way of Japan." -Oct 18 -entry by Sec of Interior Harold Ickes
