Idk which one y'all call "universal", but from 1:00 to 1:40 is definitely one of our (cold steel) originals. Other than that no biggie, do what you do
Man look..... I'm groove too. When we first learned the cadences, we didn't know that was cold steel. One of the old head cold steels brothers taught it to us, so hes the one to do all the answering. We ain't tryin to jock somebody swag; rather developing our own
cold steel, if im not mistaken, does not play universal. it came from either atanta or nashville. taught to the groove in 2004 by our then percussion instructor who was a percussionist at tsu and clark atlantain the late 80's/early 90's. @LexLUthor573 i agree with you. we can do nothing about the past, but the future is all ours. So with that being said..... during this football season look for a new and improved groove dynasty. But on another note, asie minor issues, very enertaining show.
@Six2Much1 Sounds like Groove needs to sit down and have a long discussion about the direction of the Percussion Section and the Band. LU has percussion Alumni in KC and STL who have Pre "Groove" ie F.L.U.I.D cadences that are all original.....the question needs to ba answered..... do we continue to KNOWINGLY play Cold Steel cadences...and NCA&T B.I.G arrangements.....or do we find our own identity ...
@coldsteel0714 im groove....fall 09.....i dont know if we copied yall cadence or not.....did someone named ceasar go there....cuz he our percussion instructor.....he said he "cold steel".....but i apologize for the "jockin"....but we just play what we taught......we never knew yall played "universal"
