mahabharat is proclaimbed to have occured prior to the begingging of kaliyug (~3100bc), yet you have sage vyasa composing it much later who was also a major character of the Mahabhrata. I do not know the exact date, but some claim the mahabharata to have occured around 3100bc or even 5000bc according to the the mahabharata and dating of astronomical recordings of the sky in the poem.

There seems to be a lot missing with respect to Mahavir and the Jain systems. Also in many respects Tibetan Budhism should be regarded as part of the Hindu tradition of methods and techniques. What about Jesus who Swami Sivananda's Divine Life Society claims had his training in India.
