LOL you forgot to say that it was too short... well not that short i finished it in one day. It was quite fun. One of the best nes games I played when i was a kid...

You die with one hit, yes, but that's where the power-ups come into play.
Each power-up serves as a "HP Layer". Much like any Super Mario game, once you lose the power-up, you can always gain it back, thus regaining HP.
