Several people have commented that they want to hear what a toller scream sounds like. Well here you go! Vito only does this when he is very very excited. Tennis balls used to cause him to do the scream all the time but we have since gotten Vito to be pretty calm around them and wait patiently for a throw. However adding in water to the mix puts Vito over the top. He is SO over threshold in this film. We have come a long way but we still have tons to go!

Hey, just had a Facebook conversation about Toller Scream, then Googled for a sample and found your video. We know that river! Hope to run into Vito & Lance with our possible Toller, Artemis, some day.

We used to have a dog who elicited questions about his breed (how we learned about Tollers in the first place), but he wasn't one. We hung a sign with his photo after he passed away right on this beach - might still be there at the "T" on the main path down.  He did the screaming thing, too.

i sat down with my toller princess sienna (born in 2009) to watch this video.

sienna has a pretty mild toller scream, but it's SO cute the way she gets SO excited!

omg vito reminds me of my annie - 12 year old toller. Very driven, screams when water present and loved agility. We won regionals alberta 2003 and placed 6th at nationals AAC - at that point there were maybe 2 tollers in all. Now they have been discovered!!! Great job with Vito - I have an 8 year old male as well named copper and am wanting to work on some of your tricks. How did you do copcop?? barb

Oh My - you weren't exaggerating on your blog, were you?! :-) Do only Tollers make this sound? Thank God Danes in general - and Honey in particular - are quiet dogs - I can't even stand normal barking!! :-)

That is one nasty sound. Yikes! Do they all tollers make that sound? Little guy really loves the water, doesn't he. But his stroke was kind of off there in the middle. Hehehe.
