Travelers Rest (SC) Fire Department - Medical Call - 09/25/2011

Travelers Rest (SC) Fire Department responding to a medical call at 1 Havenwood Lane, Travelers Rest. Engine 2 and Engine 3 responded to this call.

In case you're curious, this fire department ran two engines to a medical call due to personnel. They had just previously been at a commercial fire alarm where all three on-duty fire fighters drove a different truck to the scene. In order to have at least two firefighters on-scene immediately for the medical call, two engines were taken.

Under normal circumstances, two firefighters run on Engine 3 and it can handle medical calls alone.

@MrJakemoffitt Yes. In the description of the video, I noted that this department has limited personnel on-shift (3). They were already out on a fire alarm call at a hospital when the medical call came in (and they took two pumpers and a ladder to the alarm call per standard commercial alarm procedures). At least two people need to be on-scene with a medical call when they respond, so they had to take two trucks like they drove to the original call.

@MrJakemoffitt Cmon jake you know how we have to do things in Northern Greenville County. Its not like a Big department like in the city.
