    The funny thing is Christian Bale played the lead character in a movie everybody only watches because of Heath Ledger. Two years later Mark Wahlberg starrs as lead actor in a movie that is mainly worthy to watch because of Christian Bale (and maybe Melissa Leo). Now two years later...Mark Wahlberg finally needs to do a good movie!! :)

    Are you mentally retarded? This isn't an "Irish story". The only Irish guy in the film is that BUM Shea O'Neary. He didn't knock Ward down in real life btw, he got beaten from pillar to post like the bum that he is. Where's all the tough "Fightin' Irish" in Boxing? Explain to me how Ward&the vast majority of those New England "Irish" AREN'T Plastic Paddies? They're 3rd, 4th, 5th Generation "Irish" and not even 100% but mixed with German, Scottish, Italian and what not. FAKE FAKE FAKE!
