Damien Lasaration interviews (in his Opinion) a living legend, Tony Johansen. Mr Johansen talks about the way of current Australian art, his painting of Leo Sayer, his thoughts on the Archibald Prize and well he puts up with my infantile questioning!
Emerging Artists out there, I recommend that you go to the Tap Gallery and submit your work for your own solo show! If not get a group of friends and do a group show. You could start a movement! Dont wait till the next one comes along, start your own up! The gallery is one of a few that will help young artists that are not signed! Its your start and it may take some effort but its worth the time invested, its your art! Its time other people bought it!

  • This was the Tap Gallery's alternate exhibition of all the entries that didn't make it on the walls of the AGNSW. Lesley would meet you at the gallery back gates with her entry forms so the artists knew they had a true second chance with their art under their arms. Its always a great show and I truly endorse everyone to walk in and check it out!
