  • My favorite scene from the series Romanza final :-)) It's nice... Thank you for the reminder...

  • I have read that some of these scenes actually parallel real events that occured in Jose Carreras's life, including:

-The death of Gayarre's mother (Carreras also lost his mother at a young age), and

-Gayarre's severe illness (which somehow foreshadowed Carreras's battle with leukemia about a year after this film was released).

  • Jose Carreras can cheer anyone up. :) This scene is very ironic. Just one year later, Carreras would be staring death in the face, but, luckily, death turned away from him. :)

  • My eyes are full of tears!

So much power, beauty and passion!

This is probaly the best record of Jose Carreras.

Thank you very much dear inmylife9 for uploading this video!

  • Thanks to "toinmylife9" for posting and to usarra for translating. Lacking a DVD with libretto and subtitles (which I would be eager to buy), this is the only avenue for keeping the work alive until the DVD is issued.

    Muchas gracias!

  • Dear Usarra,

thank you very much, this was most kind of you!

    I'm really grateful!

  • hello!

what wanted to you say was that this scene of the film seems me the most extraordinary .

No only by the melody ,also by his meaning the injured of war says him to Julian Gayarre:My God,do not want to die!!!!

And the sings him this song with his glorious voice ,in this case of Jose Carreras.

the live of gayarre seems to me to be very interesting ,

    y you would like i know .

    since you call??

    where you live???

    chaoo!
