  • I just wrote a book with 21 songs for the Sansula in Heavenly A Tuning - available for $16. It does not come with a CD, but it has a web page from which you can download MP3s and KTabS files of each song. - Mark Holdaway

  • wow, best sansula video ever. you truly are THE kalimba guy, and now also THE sansula guy. My wish is to see you perfom on the chromatic kalimba one day... i play it every day, and I posted 5 vids of it, but the ones im gonna post soon are much more interesting than the previous ones. i think the chromatic is THE kalimba, adding 7ths, 4ths, etc, i.e. using diatonic + pentatonic on the same kalimba really opened a new world to me... God bless you, keep being my inspiration. Cheers from Italy

  • Nick, I can barely play the chromatic - you are way better than me on it.

Keep me posted about your new vids! Ah, Aaron Chavez is a great chromatic player - look for him soon, he just graduated from CalArts. -Mark

Have you tried pushing the sites together while playing? You get a nice distorted sound from the skin!
