Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.
Refrain
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.
By Gods Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law Id spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.
Refrain
Now Ive given to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!
Refrain
Oh, the love that drew salvations plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!
Refrain
I really like this; it is an original and creative presentation of a classic hymn that is one of my favorites. I used to hear this in a small church played on the organ in a very similar manner when I was a young woman. I prefer this song on the organ, most impressive!

Your playing is good, its the equipment
that's a bit lacking. It sort of reminds you
of the queen trying to worship in a black
Baptist church in the southern U.S.
Try it on a Hammond B-3 organ. You'll
never forget it!

Hi, well played, although I find it easier to play gospel hymns on electronic organs like the roland atelier, as I think they lend themselves more to gospel playing. I would find it easier to play the likes of more churchy pieces on an Allen or Rogers, or something like that. Check out my take on this lovely hymn.
