Sparkfun charges $9.95 for the 4x4 Button Pad, and $40 - $45 for the LED Matrix Board. That's really expensive, but you can buy just the PCB and buy the LED's and diodes from ebay for a lot cheaper. Actually you might be able to buy all the parts from eBay for cheaper, I haven't checked. But I do know you can buy lots of LED's for a good price.

i really want to make a 128 or 256 how much did it cost for the parts? and which arduino board(s are you running on?
