@Pummers does not sound like a good rebuild , you should have done it yourself.

I been doing that for months now! Bought a rebuilt starter, and it worked for a little bit... Now I have to bang it to get it working now and again. I don't know if it's the contacts in the solenoid or what, but it's sure frustrating and embarrassing!

hiting it is a soluttion if it has come to rest on a bad commuter spot... or it just a loose contact on the brush.... i woudint do that if i ware u and i would overhaul it as a critical failure could occur any time sonn and at a time u do not want to happen
trust me one thing with cars.......... From experiance.... THey Fail u When u Wnat them the most.........

This is the easy way but i prefer the hard way ;)

that way the starter would work for couple days then it will fail, thats only an emergency trick
-
lol spose thats one way?
Guess Youtube doesn't like this prehistoric video format these days. For the record, this van was laughed out of the mot centre and abandoned, presumed scrapped.
