During the preparation for the shooting, director Leander Haußmann decided to have James Last and his music as a key component in the film. Hence the idea of having the actors dance to his music at the end of the movie.
A scientific narrator, the voice of Leander himself, accompanies the viewer throughout the film with a lecture-like commentary. Thats how we came up with the concept of changing the chapters by depicting the screen as an overhead projector page that is being removed by the hand of the narrator, like in a lecture. The new scene is laid down as a projector page that then becomes the animated movie. The hand of the narrator accompanies us from the distributors animated trademarks, throughout the entire film, to the end where this hand slides the animated final credits off the screen
It was the desire of the producers and the film distribution to use the style of the final credits with the dancing actors as the theme for the production poster.
