Mama Grizzly and twins came out of the forest onto the highway near where we were standing around talking and crossed peacefully. However Mama could turn on a dime if she sensed any threat to her cubs so being respectful of her fast and strong capabilities we were careful to stay close to the vehicle and ready to get in.

This is why I love Alaska! I was born and raised in Valdez and enjoy every minute of it! Even the snow storms :) Great video! Thanks for sharing. And thank you very much for not being a dummy tourist and going near the bears. You'd be surprised at how many tourists think they're tame and will go right up to them. Some bears here are very unconcerned with people, unless they feel threatened otherwise. Most bears here ignore us if we don't come close.
