  • I agree that Iran has some terrific wrestlers, but it isn't due to politics that they don't get to showcase them often. It's because their country is ruled by islamo-nazi psychopaths like Ahmadinejad, who express a desire to commit another genocide. Once mahmoud and the other 9th century barbarians are overthrown and their theocratic nightmare comes to an end (hopefully soon), they can showcase their athletes and other aspects of their ancient culture.

  • @GBDazzler i agree 100%. Yes, Iran wrestling team is really strong. No doubt. Good luck to Iran Team in next olympic games.

  • @region015 I'd say a lot of the time if iran/chechnya/ossetia/dagestan had wrestle duals i'd wager iran would win overall, but if you put ossetia/dagestand/chechnya vs iran in a neutral match i'd say it'd be a toss up, people forget how many unbelievable wrestlers iran has, but they never get to showcase this due to politics.

  • @GBDazzler i agree with you in most parts. But Azerbeijan has a lot of wrestlers from Osetia and Dagestan.

If you talk about freestyle, then Osetia and Dagestan produce 70% or more best wrestlers in the world that a lot of them move to other countries such Ukraine, Kazahstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbeidjan, Turkey, Slovenia, Greece, France, Canada, USA to wrestle for. And its not because of their national supremacy, but just having a strong and developed system of training which is well successful.

  • @DeeLaitti That guy on the edge of the mat is a Dzhambulat Tedeev-He is osetian, and he is a head coach of freestyle team Russia

  • @josepablobolanos Azerbeijan, ossetia, iran, and turkey produce more top wrestlers than russia, azerbeijan used to be part of iran, ossetia is from alanian tribe which are iranian, most of russia's wrestlers come from either chechnya, ossetia, or dagestan, a lot of them don't regard themselves as russians. Also russia has a clear control of bribing and match control, as well as having top wrestlers and organization, which iran certainly hasn't got.

  • The countries that made up the Soviet Union, and specially Russia, produce more champion wrestlers than any other nation in the world... distantly followed by USA, Iran and Turkey.

  • @GBDazzler he is osetian, ancestors of osetian were iranian tribe alans they came in caucasus, after mix of alanians and caucasian tribes created new naciotn osetians .

  • I know Gatsalov is russian but is he of Iranian descent??

  • Ofcourse i would but it still looks disturbing.
