BOLIVIA - THE RETURN OF THE CONDOR

In the 16th century, Bolivia flooded Europe with silver. Eight million natives breathed their last, working as slaves for the Spanish conquistadores in the mines of Potosi.

The same exploitation has continued to our day, the only difference being that multinational companies are looting the country's resources and even exercising rights over rainwater... According to native myths, which arose after the massacres of the 16th century, the holy Condor would fly again over the lands which once belonged to the Incas and would liberate them. The documentary records the first victory of a popular uprising against the multinational giants, at a time when markets are becoming globalized. Among those interviewed is the country's president, Evo Morales.
