The Ulster Defence Association was an umbrella group for regional neighbourhood groups which came in to existance to protect protestants from ethnic cleansing and murder in Northern Ireland.
As the catholic extremists of the IRA began murdering defenceless women and children in their pursuit of an ethnically-pure gaelic, catholic Ireland, young men were forced to take up arms to protect the innocent and vulnerable among the protestant community.
As the years went by these brave soldiers took the war to the IRA - began assassinating catholic terrorists by the dozen. In the early 1990s this ongoing Loyalist campaign eventually forced the IRA to surrender and sue for peace in 1998.
