  • Be aware - this does not use true GPS all the time. Cell phones more often than not use cellular triangulation instead of true GPS coordinates. This can result in less than reliable navigation where signals aren't strong with your carrier. This also uses up your data as the google map is constantly updating to reflect your current location.

  • @VideoGuyNC most if not all modern cell phones use a combinations of cell tower triangulation and a true gps antenna. For example: An iPhone will get its general location by using the cell towers and then turn the gps antenna on briefly to get the exact location. This is to save battery as the gps antenna uses a lot of power.

  • @holdelor my problem is navigation is not available in this location

    !!!!

  • does it work without internet connection?

  • @idogish It's likely due to the fact that cell phones don't usually use true GPS. They triangulate your location based on your nearest cell towers. So, if your cellular signals aren't very strong - your navigation isn't going to be very accurate. For best GPS results, use a real GPS system.

  • i turned gps on. google maps said my location was hetian, Xinjiang, China..... im in North carolina....

  • I hope it'll come to iphone pretty soon!

  • @zollotech but. i do have a question...it.s posible to install the android 2.0 on my lg optimus gt 540 ?
