  • wow, thanks for sharing that it brought back many memories of the "old" Worcester. I remember the store front windows being decorated at Christmas with animation! My Mom had to drag me away from the windows!

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • dont no what you muthafuckahs is talkin about worcester was 1000000 times worse in the 60s and 70s then it is now there was a murder almost everyday. there were so many murders that the tellagram and gezzete stoped printing them becuz people were living in fear

  • @plumbercrack333 Worcester now sucks!!! 15years ago it was 220% better than it is now. Worcester is a giant crap hole.mostly cause of the gangs and the type of people in the gangs,.they are the majority of the city. Everybody wants to be a rap gangster, no one wants to be normal, and live life with a smile. And the majority is now low income, middleclass is all but gone in worcester. Grafton hill was all middle class at one time.now its a shit hole!!!

  • Great video! That "Live Better Electrically" at one time was the largest electric sign in the world - and also, at one time, that was the largest Woolworths'.

  • this is a great video. It reminds me of the trips to Woolworths on Front Street.

Back when things seemed more at ease. And, that is before the Worcester Commons aka The Worcester Center. Great days, sorely missed. days and nights when you could walk the streets with no problems. When you would go to Paris Cinema and actually see a real movie. We miss you Worcester!

  • wow, this is great...i remember my dad always talking about the old worcester, and how happy it made him..this is awesome.. thanks :)

  • Thanks for the memories of a great home town, an ALL AMERICA CITY.

Anyone remember the popcorn man "Mike"? His old truck at the common or at any and all events in the city 1940's and 1950's. Small bag of popcorn 5 cents, larger bag 10 cents, both had lots of butter.

  • That was really cool. I remember many of those places, Thanks.

  • i love woosta, thanks for sharing this.
